Running the Gauntlet

To state unequivocally that one man's vision helped shape Western cultural history is a pretty big claim, but Jim Ward and Gauntlet did just that. For anyone seriously interested in gay history, Running the Gauntlet is required reading alongside authors like Geoff Mains, Randy Shilts, Alan Berubé, Gayle Rubin and Sam Steward.

This is an important piece of information and history concerning the Piercing and Modern Primitive Movements. It really helped me fill in the blanks about how it all came into being.

A great book wrote by a great person, every piercer and everybody interested in Body Piercing should read it to know how everything started. Thank you Jim.
